Our mailbox has been flooded with questions about the Bowflex Revolution Home Gym and whether or not we’re going to do a review on it or not. Well chaps you got what you wanted. We all put together and got one of these for 4 months for review. We all knew how anxious you were to here about the latest piece of equipment from one of the most recognized names in home gym equipment our mailbox proves it.
We have heard and you have probably heard too the amount of buzz and hype surrounding the Bowflex Revolution home gym, as it offers new technology which hasn’t been used on any previous models of the Bowflex. The new technology reduces the noise levels during workout which many users found annoying in the previous models.
There is also the use of spirelflex technology which is a state of the art resistance system with the smoothness of gym machines without the excessive weight. It has elastic straps wrpped around coils in a small canister. Since ther are no metal parts, it is much quieter.
While testing this beast out we racked upto 220 pounds of resistance all together but we also used the optional upgrade which can go upto 300 pounds!! There are adjustable, independent arms, a built in rowing machine, leg curl/extension system, preacher for the biceps, leg press plate and 5 different foot harness positions.
The Bowflex Revolution also comes with a 10 year limited warranty, with a 6 week fitness result guarantee.
Is it worth the money though?
Bowflex is indeed a well respected and quality maker of home gyms, and they have been around for a long time and completely stand by the equipment they produce.
However, with the price being up there at $2,499.00 it might be a little too pricey for a lot of people. You can get a decent home gym for half the price which will do just as good a job. If money is not a problem then what the hell, go for it theres nothing stopping you, it’s hight quailty product there’s no denying it.

Benefits
We found it quite easy to come up with some benefits in this Review of the Bowflex Revolution so here they are:
- Very quiet and very smooth workout
- High Quality
- 10 Year Warranty
- 6 week money back guarantee
- Works well for tall people
- Leg press of up to 600 pounds. With the original Bowflex models, the leg press could only go up to 410Ib
- 100+ exercises. So much variety that you could create a different workout for each day of the year
Downsides
No Bowflex Revolution Review would be complete without the downsides :
- Hefty price tag
- Very heavy and hard to move around
- Not ideal for those who would need extra resistance, however there is an upgrade to 300lb available
- One sized doesn’t fit all. Though it fits tall people well, if you happen to be below 5′ 8″ you may find it difficult to do certain exercises as a few of our staff found out
Conclusion
If your looking for a cheaper option then the Bowflex Revolution Home Gym is definately not the one for you, but if price is no problem and quality is what your after then go for it. The Bowflex Revolution home gym is ideal for people who want to tone and build muscle, however if you’re a pretty advanced bodybuilder you would probably require the $100 add on which takes the resistance upto 300lb. I am pretty advanced so we decided to get the add on and try it out, it was great, before the upgrade of resistance it was just too easy for me. Without the add on I would recommend this only for beginners or people who want to tone up.
